Most films showing bombing of Germany show American bombers because the British bombed at night and cameras didn&#039;t pick it up.

The bombing of Hamburg killed &gt;40,000 and left a million homeless. The fire could be seen 120 miles away (Why the Allies Won, by Richard Overy, 1995).</description>
