Bomber Harris again
Just about every day is the anniversary of one Allied atrocity or another. I only mention this one because it is on my mind right now.
Tomorrow, Mar 25, 1945, Bomber Harris let loose on the little university town of Münster. The hospital town of Dresden was already destroyed. Everyone knew the war was over. But Bomber Harris was like a modern Republican: burn, burn, burn!
The manuscript containing the unpublished letters and papers of Gottlob Frege was destroyed.
A small thing, from a military man’s perspective, I guess.
Ach! Nicht Gottlob’s papierien! Verdamnt!
